The Opportunity
The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful, professional, hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Ideal candidates will utilize and further develop technical and soft skills (i.e., communication), business knowledge, analytical techniques, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Assignments are carried out in a variety of work environments within Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics division, including corporate and operating unit locations, laboratories, and support function sites, where interns will interact with various finance co-workers and business partners.
Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics business offers these interns an opportunity to work in a variety of fields, including:
Financial Planning & Analysis
Logistics/Supply Chain Finance
Corporate Initiatives/Projects
Intern assignments will be located onsite at Abbott Cancer Diagnostics office in Madison, WI
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Finance or Accounting related discipline
Before graduation, planning to complete a minimum of 3 accounting classes (one 3-4 credit hour accounting course must be cost accounting)
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future
Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Qualifications
On-campus leadership positions
Member of school or national organizations in Finance or Accounting
School and/or work experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI)
