About this role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician / Custodial employee will help maintain a clean, safe, and functional school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position will perform routine custodial services, basic building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and general repairs throughout the school district facility.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.– 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove trash.
- Perform basic repairs involving painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, doors, hardware, and fixtures.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain safe and organized storage of tools, supplies, and cleaning products.
- Set up and break down rooms, furniture, and equipment as needed.
- Report safety hazards, damage, maintenance concerns, or supply needs.
- Follow all school district safety, security, and cleaning procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous service to students, staff, visitors, and district personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous custodial, facilities maintenance, or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to successfully complete any required background check and drug screening.
Work Environment:
This is an onsite position within a school district facility. The employee may work indoors and outdoors and may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
