About this role

As Waymo continues its rapid global expansion, we are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused Manager, Supply Chain Operations to lead order management and material orchestration for new market site activations. In this critical role, you will sit at the intersection of supply chain planning, logistics, and field deployment. You will be directly responsible for managing the end-to-end order lifecycle—from forecasting and procurement to localized delivery and staging—ensuring that our new operating depots, specialized tooling, and autonomous vehicle (AV) support infrastructure are fully provisioned, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

● Order Orchestration & Lifecycle Management: Drive the end-to-end order management process for new site activations, coordinating demand forecasting, purchase requisition, allocation, and final delivery of critical depot infrastructure and vehicle maintenance components.

● Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination: Partner with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and warehouse leads to track shipments, resolve customs or transit bottlenecks, and guarantee on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery to active site locations.

● Cross-Functional Launch Alignment: Act as the operational connective tissue between Supply Chain, Hardware Engineering, Procurement, and Local Site Managers to ensure order pipelines dynamically mirror shifting launch timelines.

● Supplier & Order Performance Tracking: Monitor vendor delivery performance, track purchase order (PO) health, and flag supply anomalies early to mitigate downstream risks to site activation milestones.

Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.

● Experience: 5+ years of operational supply chain experience, with a heavy emphasis on order management, inventory control, fulfillment operations, and supporting physical site rollouts or new market launches.

● Technical & Systems Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and WMS/TMS platforms. Strong data analysis capabilities using tools like Excel, SQL, or Tableau to track order pipelines and inventory health.

● Execution Agility: Exceptional ability to thrive in high-ambiguity, fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly and hands-on, micro-level problem-solving is required to unblock physical operations.

● Cross-Functional Communication: Proven track record of building strong partnerships across engineering, logistics, and local field teams to drive alignment and clear operational hurdles.
