The Role
We’re looking for a strategic, hands on Director of Supply Chain to lead Cimarron’s purchasing, inventory, vendor management, and supply chain performance across our manufacturing, field service, and operational teams. In this high impact role, you’ll strengthen how we source materials, manage inventory, support production, and partner with internal teams to deliver quality products on time. You’ll bring structure, accountability, and data driven decision making to the supply chain function while helping Cimarron improve efficiency, control costs, and support continued growth across our emissions management technology, equipment, and services business.
Key responsibilities include
Lead purchasing strategy, supplier performance, and procurement controls to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Manage inventory performance across locations, including inventory turns, safety stock, slow moving inventory, finished goods, and field service parts.
Partner with Manufacturing, Commercial, Scheduling, AMS, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and international sourcing teams to align supply chain execution with business needs.
Develop and maintain vendor management processes, including supplier qualification, warranty/RMA support, performance tracking, commercial terms, and documentation.
Use ERP data, Power BI dashboards, and other tools to monitor supply chain metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvement actions.
Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to increase buyer productivity and improve consistency across supply chain practices.
Establish clear operating routines, approval controls, and standard work to strengthen accountability, reduce risk, and support scalable growth.
Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members while building strong cross functional relationships across the organization.
QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
Must haves
10+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, operations, or related leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or adjacent environment.
Experience leading purchasing, inventory management, supplier performance, and cross functional supply chain processes.
Administrative level experience with Syteline or a comparable ERP system.
Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements, including contracts valued at $500K or more.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data, dashboards, and operational metrics to identify issues and drive improvement.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence across functions, and build practical processes that improve accountability and execution.
Strong communication, problem solving, and business partnership skills.
Willingness to travel up to 20% to support business needs.
Nice to haves
Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, or other tools that improve reporting, workflow, and process efficiency.
Experience using artificial intelligence or other emerging tools to improve productivity, analysis, or business processes.
Established supplier relationships within industrial, energy, manufacturing, or related markets.
MBA or other relevant graduate degree.
