About this role
What we're looking for:
We need a Senior or Staff-level Software Engineer with experience building and operating production backend and platform systems, with deep expertise in authentication, authorization, and identity infrastructure. You should be comfortable working across distributed systems, security, and AI platform domains, and have a track record of designing foundational services that scale across multiple engineering teams. Bonus points if you have experience with agentic AI security concepts and healthcare technology.
What you'll do:
Design, build, and operate the company's core authentication and authorization platform, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWTs, session management, workload identity, and service-to-service authentication
Take ownership of scalable authorization models (RBAC, ABAC, policy-based) and drive improvements to the company's overall security posture
Build and evolve the Agentic Security platform — securing AI agent identity, delegated authorization, policy enforcement, and safe access to enterprise data and services
Develop reusable authentication/authorization services, SDKs, middleware, and shared libraries used by engineering teams across the organization
Contribute to the broader Frameworks organization by improving shared engineering infrastructure, developer productivity tooling, CI/CD, observability, and platform reliability
Lead architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and mentor engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence
Work closely with Platform, Infrastructure, Security, and Product Engineering teams to solve complex distributed systems challenges at scale
