We're looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the development of next-generation audio and video solutions that combine advanced signal processing, machine learning, and embedded software engineering. Design and implement licensable audio and video technologies across the full development chain – from research and prototyping, through software implementation, to testing and quality assurance – and support internal and external customers.

What You'll Do

  • Invent and prototype new audio and video experiences.
  • Apply classical DSP and machine learning techniques to solve real-world challenges.
  • Take concepts from research through to deployment on consumer devices.
  • Develop high-performance, portable C/C++ software for embedded platforms.
  • Lead system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate innovation and productivity.
  • Drive complex engineering projects and influence technical direction.
  • Mentor engineers and represent Dolby with customers and partners.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in embedded systems, and real-time software development.
  • Deep expertise in DSP, machine learning techniques or applied mathematics.
  • Hands-on experience deploying complex algorithms on edge devices.
  • Strong C/C++ development skills and understanding of processor architectures.
  • Proven track record leading complex technical projects and delivering production-ready solutions.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
