Demi Chef de Partie — Breakfast (Early Morning Shifts, 30–35 hours per week)

Join the kitchen team at Rydges Wellington Airport and build your culinary career in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you'll take ownership of the breakfast service, developing your skills while delivering consistent, high-quality food to start our guests' day right.

This is a great opportunity for an emerging chef ready to step up, own the early shift, learn from experienced leaders, and grow within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and execute breakfast service, including buffet setup, à la carte items, and made-to-order dishes
· Arrive early to prep the kitchen and ensure a smooth, on-time breakfast opening
· Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation throughout service
· Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and organised before handover
· Follow daily checklists and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
· Support stock control, correct storage, and minimisation of wastage
· Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and hotel team
· Maintain a safe working environment in line with food safety and WH&S standards
· Stay up to date with menus and assist with kitchen operations as required

What You'll Bring
· Previous experience in a kitchen environment (Commis or Demi level), breakfast service experience an advantage
· Passion for food and a strong desire to learn and grow
· Basic understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety
· Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
· Positive attitude and team-focused approach
· Availability and flexibility for early morning starts (including weekends and public holidays)
