Overview

Risk Program Administrators (RPA) is seeking an experienced, highly organized Account Executive to support property and casualty risk-sharing programs with a primary emphasis on board governance, CEO and executive support, claims facilitation, and practical office administration.

 

This role serves as a trusted administrative and operational liaison among the CEO, governing boards, committees, claims partners, service providers, and RPA leadership. The position supports board and committee operations, prepares governance materials and records, coordinates claims-related communication and documentation, assists with office operations, and ensures timely follow-through on board-directed and executive priorities.


How you'll make an impact

Board, Governance, and Executive Support

  • Serve as a key administrative and operational liaison to the CEO, governing boards, board chairs, committee leaders, claims partners, and service providers.
  • Coordinate executive calendars, board schedules, committee meetings, agendas, logistics, conference calls, board packets, briefing materials, and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare, take, draft, maintain, and organize board and committee minutes, including related file preparation, signature routing, approved records, and action-item tracking.
  • Maintain governance records, public meeting notices, open meeting files, board actions, policy decisions, committee assignments, resolutions, governance calendars, and key program decisions.
  • Maintain the Board Policy Manual and support compliance with bylaws, public notice requirements, reporting timelines, and established administrative protocols.

 

Claims Facilitation and Partner Coordination

  • Facilitate claims-related communication among the CEO, board leadership, pool leadership, claims administrators, adjusters, counsel, reinsurers, and service providers.
  • Coordinate claim status updates, escalation items, meetings, documentation, reporting, and follow-up to support timely communication and effective resolution.
  • Manage and track claim-related emails, invoices, adjuster reports, follow-up letters, claim files, financial folders, documentation, and related records throughout the life of a claim.
  • Coordinate claims pay request intake, review routing, approval tracking, database entry support, and submission to accounting or other designated parties.

 

General Office and Administrative Support

  • Maintain office files, risk pool records, digital and physical filing systems, mail handling, correspondence routing, phone coverage, supplies, and general office maintenance.
  • Collect, organize, scan, and route receipts, invoices, payables, and support materials for accounting review and payment processing.
  • Assist with report research, presentation drafting, calendar coordination, renewal support, and procedural improvements that strengthen responsiveness and efficiency.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related experience required. License required.
  • Experience supporting board governance, executive administration, CEO-level coordination, claims facilitation, office administration, risk management, insurance programs, or related business functions.
  • Strong organizational, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain records, prepare executive materials, and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Property & Casualty Producer License or ability to obtain within six months of employment; willingness to travel as needed, up to 10%.

Preferred:

  • Experience with self-insured risk pools, public entity programs, insurance organizations, governing boards, claims administrators, adjusters, or insurance service providers.
  • Board governance, executive assistant, CEO-level administrative support, meeting management, or claims coordination experience.
  • Experience preparing board packets, executive briefings, claims updates, reports, presentations, or related governance materials.
  • Additional professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, CIC, AIC, or similar credentials.
