EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree in network technology, Computer/Software/Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Troubleshoot customer network issues across various IP Service Router platforms.
- Manage and support network environments using Nokia SR Linux (SRL), including configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Assist in reproducing customer issues in the lab and documenting test results.
- Perform basic configuration tasks on routers and switches under supervision.
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions.
- Help prepare presentations or summaries based on findings from lab tests or customer cases.
- Participate in continuous learning through internal workshops, trainings, and shadowing opportunities.
Qualifications
You Have:
- Knowledge of concepts like the OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP)
- Strong knowledge of Linux platforms
- Strong knowledge of coding and automation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written communication skills
- Quick learner and willing to share knowledge with others on the team
It Would Be Nice If You Also Had
- IP Certifications or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of how to configure routers and switches
- Exposure to tools such as Wireshark and IXIA
