About this role

We are looking for a Product Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to join a fast-moving GovTech startup modernizing local government software. You'll own product outcomes end-to-end — from talking directly with customers to shipping AI-powered features — in a high-autonomy environment where you set your own pace and drive work forward without waiting for direction.

What will you be doing?

Owning entire customer deliverables end-to-end — scoping, building, and iterating on product features with minimal oversight

Talking directly with government customers to understand their needs and translating insights into product solutions (not just building what's asked)

Shipping full-stack features across frontend, backend, and AI-powered tooling

Traveling to customer sites to iterate quickly and ensure product-market fit

Operating like a forward-deployed engineer — jumping into new environments and figuring things out independently

Key Requirements

3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a product-building mindset (not just infrastructure or backend optimization)

Significant startup experience — must have worked at smaller, fast-growing companies (no purely big-tech backgrounds)

Demonstrated comfort working directly with customers and translating their needs into product decisions

High drive and initiative — self-starter who thrives without structured onboarding or detailed specs

Strong communicator who is concise, articulate, and comfortable in ambiguous environments
