Position Summary

Kiewit is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Excavators, Dozers, Skid steers, and Crew Truck is required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating on Industrial sites
  • Minimum 5 years' experience trenching, grading, backfilling and site preparation

Compensation and Shift Details

  • Base wage: $49.39 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement
  • ITC Premium: $2.50 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required

Additional Information

  • Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, Audiometric and 50lb Fitness to Work tests
  • No travel and living-out expenses provided

Project Information

The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Upon its completion in 2028, the facility will be Canada’s largest clean hydrogen production site and among the largest globally.
