If you’re looking for an opportunity to act as the operational and technical lead for the contractor, driving the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of Drilling, Workover campaigns, complex turnkey projects, or Integrated Drilling Services contracts, join our multidisciplinary team.
Working across commercial management, engineering and rig-site execution, you will ensure safe, efficient and on-schedule delivery. You will also serve as the primary link between rig crews, client teams and internal executive leadership.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- lead end-to-end project execution for complex rig assignments, turn-key drilling operations, and long-term contracts from tendering through rig demobilization
- drive operational delivery against Client KPIs, contract specifications, and budget baselines
- oversee daily operational engineering, flat-time reduction initiatives, non-productive time (NPT) analysis, and technical troubleshooting across assigned rig assets
- manage client relations, contract variations, operational scope changes, and commercial claim mitigations
- oversee budget formation, cost forecasting, and daily operational expenditure control to maximize gross margin and rig profitability
- champion Process Safety and HSE standards across project activities, driving target-zero incident cultures
- perform rigorous risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID), establish risk mitigation matrixes for complex operations, and support root cause analysis on significant incidents
- evaluate and implement digital drilling technologies, automated control systems, real-time data monitoring, and condition-based asset management to improve rig performance
- lead technical interface discussions for major rig upgrades, modifications, or reactivation projects required under client contracts
- serve as key senior authority liaising with the operator's Drilling/Project Manager and manage integrated / third-party service providers and sub-contractors under contractor's scopes.
FOR THE POSITION YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Marine, or Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 15+ years of well engineering and operations experience, with at least 7+ years in a senior project management role within an offshore or onshore drilling contractor environment
- valid IWCF/IADC Well Control Certification (Supervisor Level); PMP or equivalent PM certification highly desirable
- deep knowledge of modern rig mechanics, top drives, well control systems, rig reactivations, and complex well design
- demonstrated expertise in managing contracts, cost control, day-rate mechanics, and performance bonus/penalty structures.
