The successful candidate will help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to support safe, reliable operations.
We are also willing to consider candidates who are earlier in their maintenance career and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, relevant technical training or hands-on experience, a safety-first mindset, and the potential to grow into the role. The level of the position and starting pay will be based on the candidate's directly relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
What You Will Do
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
• Work alongside experienced team members to learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance activities that help reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Assist with equipment installation, modification, and improvement projects as your skills develop.
• Use tools, meters, schematics, and equipment instructions to identify issues and restore equipment functionality.
• Demonstrate a 100% commitment to safety, including Weir zero-harm behaviors and lockout/tagout practices.

• Mechanical aptitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely around industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work a consistent second-shift schedule.
Preferred Experience and Skills
• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, ideally in a foundry, machining, heavy manufacturing, mining, automotive, agricultural, or related environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Experience with machine tools such as a lathe, mill, or saw.
• Welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, or blueprint-reading experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment manuals and use meters for troubleshooting.
• Technical or trade school education in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electromechanical technology, electrical technology, welding, or a related field.
Development and Training
The successful candidate will receive site-specific training and ongoing development based on their experience. Candidates who are earlier in their maintenance career will be expected to build capability in the following areas:
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using meters, schematics, and structured problem-solving.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system fundamentals.
• Preventative maintenance routines and equipment reliability practices.
• Machine shop tools, welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and blueprint reading, as applicable.
• Safe work practices, including OSHA lockout/tagout requirements and Weir safety expectations.
Schedule
This role is scheduled for second shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. This consistent schedule may be a good fit for someone who wants mornings available for school, appointments, family responsibilities, or personal commitments while building a long-term maintenance career.
Compensation and Benefits
• $26.00 - $32.00 hourly pay rate based on technical experience and skills. Additional $2.00 per hour premium for afternoon shift.
• Excellent health, dental, and vision options.
• 5% 401(k) retirement match.
