Position Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Production – Beverage & Culinary, the role is responsible for leading Beverage Filling & Packing operations to achieve business targets through safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing practices while driving operational excellence, quality, and team performance in line with Nestlé standards.
A day in the life of the role:
- Lead Filling & Packing operations to deliver safety, quality, service, and cost targets.
- Ensure compliance with SHE, GMP, HACCP, NQMS, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage production planning and execution for operational efficiency and reliable supply.
- Drive TPM/NCE, continuous improvement, and loss reduction initiatives.
- Ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and operational compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams through capability building and performance management.
- Ensure SAP/GLOBE data accuracy and effective use of manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and innovation.
What will make you successful?
- Education: Degree in Engineering or Science
- Expected experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality within the FMCG industry.
- Experience in food processing, production planning and operations, including Filling & Packing, TPM/NCE, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience in team and project management.
- Language skills: Fluency in English & Sinhala
- Other skills:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing, food safety, quality systems, and SHE practices.
- Understanding of TPM/NCE, SAP/GLOBE, and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and results orientation.
