MVS Metals is hiring Production Workers right now for our laser cutting operation in Sioux City. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role focused on cleaning, finishing, stacking, and counting steel parts as they come off our laser cutting equipment. No experience required — if you can work hard, show up on time, and take direction, we want you on the floor.

The Details

• Starting pay: $18.00–$20.00/hr depending on experience
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Schedule: 4-day work week — Fridays always off
• Home by early afternoon every day
• Immediate openings — start right away

What You'll Do

You'll work hands-on supporting our laser cutting operation, making sure parts come off the line clean, accurate, and ready for the next step.

• Deburr, grind, and clean laser-cut steel parts using hand grinders and deburring tools
• Remove slag and sharp edges from cut parts to meet quality and safety standards
• Stack, sort, count, and organize finished parts accurately per job orders
• Verify parts against work orders and cut lists to ensure correct quantities and identification
• Apply part marks and tags and confirm correct identification before parts move to the next stage
• Assist with packaging and bundling of finished parts for shipping or internal transfer
• Move and stage materials using non-powered carts, dollies, and pallet jacks
• Perform in-process quality checks and report any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and hazard-free at all times
• Wear all required PPE and follow all safety rules and company procedures
• Accurately record job numbers, part counts, and production quantities as required
• Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed

What We're Looking For

• Ready to start immediately — we have openings now
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout a shift in a manufacturing environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; team lifts required for heavier items
• Comfortable working around noise, metal dust, and grinding sparks
• Ability to follow work orders, verbal instructions, and basic part identification requirements
• Strong attention to detail — accurate part counts and quality checks matter
• Reliable attendance and punctuality — your crew counts on you every shift
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction
• Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or a hands-on labor role is a plus — will train the right candidate
