About this role

The PACCAR Global Powertrain (GPT) organization is seeking a Current Product Data Analysis to support the Current Product Engineering team in identifying and resolving key warranty spend and customer satisfaction issues. This role will focus on analyzing available data sources to identify trending powertrain issues, supporting engineering investigations through vehicle and engine data analysis, and developing scripts to visualize warranty trends and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions and product improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various engineering investigations, while performing data analysis to continue identifying new projects.

Job Responsibilities 

 

  • Work within Current Product Engineering team to support issue definition and resolution of top powertrain warranty topics.
  • Develop clean, functional code to implement new software features.
  • Utilize automated build and deployment tools to streamline software releases.
  • Perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and contribute to software quality assurance.
  • Design and build ETL systems that support data archival, analysis, and reporting with a strong focus on data integrity.
  • Develop MATLAB functions and scripts to automate reporting for test fleets.
  • Ensure compliance with software documentation standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in documentation and development processes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience with scripting and data analysis (MATLAB). 
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, or Azure. 
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages: Python, C#/C++, Java, SQL. 
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to manage workload and deadlines effectively.

The salary range for the Current Product Data Analyst  is $70,500 - $105,800 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
