About this role

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00-$22.34

Shift: Tuesday 5:00-6:00pm; Thursday 5:00pm-6:30pm 

Implement training activities for adolescent social skills groups. Conduct up to 5 sessions per month. Each session will involve one 90-minute group.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support and oversight for the Social Skills Group. 
  • Conduct initial meetings with families in connection with the Social Skills Program. Have families sign all necessary intake paperwork. 
  • Assess people to determine eligibility for the Social Skills Program. 
  • Plan and implement social skills training activities appropriate for various age groups. 
  • Order materials for the Social Skills Program. 
  • Ensure Case Notes are completed contemporaneously in accordance with the Agency Policy. 
  • Responsible to record time worked at the start and end of each shift and to work the minimum number of accepted hours hired for.  
  • Responsible for securing and protecting personal and agency related data by adhering to the Agency’s computer security policies. 
  • Keeps in compliance with agency mandated in-service and online trainings. 
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s in counseling, Education, Psychology or related field. 
  • Two years related experience preferred. 
  • Experience conducting or coordinating positive behavior support services.  
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing. 
  • Lifting requirement of 35 lbs. 
  • Ability to support people receiving services with repositioning, lifting and transferring as required by their person-centered plan.  
  • Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations. 
  • Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy. 

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible for the supervision of program Direct Support Professionals.
