What You'll Do

As a Proposal Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of proposals, budgets, contracts, and pricing strategies that help bring clinical research studies to life. Working closely with Business Development, Operations, Project Management, Finance, and external partners, you will help ensure study proposals are accurate, financially sound, and aligned with client and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the proposal development process from RFP receipt through final submission, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Review RFIs, study protocols, scopes of work, operational assumptions, and bid grids to support proposal and budget development.
  • Develop and maintain study budgets, billing schedules, pricing models, and supporting financial documentation.
  • Conduct pricing analyses using study assumptions, historical data, resource requirements, and financial considerations.
  • Prepare and coordinate contract documentation, including:
    • Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs)
    • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
    • Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs)
    • Task Orders
    • Amendments
    • Consultant and Subcontractor Agreements
  • Perform quality reviews of budgets, calculations, payment schedules, assumptions, and contract exhibits prior to release.
  • Track changes in project scope and support the preparation of client and vendor change orders.
  • Identify budget, pricing, contractual, or operational inconsistencies and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain proposal, contract, pricing, and project profitability databases.
  • Support reporting activities, financial analyses, audits, and management reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Finance, Project Management, Legal, and external stakeholders to support proposal and contract activities.
  • Assist with vendor and subcontractor identification and engagement as needed to support proposal development and study execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Complex formulas
  • Data validation
  • Reporting and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate budgets, financial data, pricing assumptions, and contract documentation's
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial, contractual, and business information with discretion.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
