Silearth is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be based in either Utah or Tennessee, United States. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and process all aspects of our company payroll, ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and on time. We are looking for a trustworthy and organised professional with a strong understanding of US payroll procedures and a commitment to precision.

Salary: $20.34 - $36.00 USD per hour
Responsibilities
Process company payrolls on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis in an accurate and timely manner.
Calculate employee compensation, including wages, overtime, commissions, and bonuses.
Manage and calculate deductions, including taxes, benefits contributions, and other garnishments.
Verify timekeeping records and consult with managers about any discrepancies.
Maintain and update employee payroll records with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
Address and resolve employee queries related to pay, deductions, and other payroll matters.
Prepare and submit regular payroll reports for management review.
Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar payroll-focused role.
A strong understanding of US payroll processes, legislation, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced skills in Excel.
Exceptional numerical skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a proven capacity to meet strict deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
