About this role

What we're looking for

We need a seasoned engineering manager with 5+ years leading software engineering teams of 8+ people who has real early-stage or high-growth startup experience and a servant-leadership approach to people management. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, fully remote environment where you're empowering senior engineers rather than writing code yourself, and have a track record of hiring, developing, and making tough performance calls. Bonus points if you have founder experience, hands-on AI fluency, or exposure to conversational AI, voice, or telephony systems.

What you'll do

Lead and grow a squad of 8–15 engineers: own hiring, career development, performance management, and budget/headcount planning for your team

Operate as a peer on a tight management team that meets multiple times per week and collectively owns all engineering department decisions

Set the pace and challenge the status quo: create an environment where great engineers want to dig in, ship fast, and learn from failures quickly rather than over-deliberating

Drive predictable, high-quality delivery of work that matters most to customers, standing behind your team's timelines and outcomes

Make your team AI-native: turn individual AI experimentation into team-level results with better throughput, quality, and faster paths from idea to production

Partner closely with Product, Delivery, and cross-functional teams to keep your squad anchored to real customer value and close the loop after shipping
