Leading and/or participating in, among others, RFI/RFQ processes and ensuring their successful execution.Processing and recording these processes within your area of responsibility in the designated systems in accordance with internal guidelines.
Registering (or arranging the registration of) new suppliers and, if applicable, performing supplier Credit Checks (in accordance with internal guidelines).
If applicable; placing Orders and monitoring delivery times (intervening or escalating timely if necessary to safeguard the desired quality and delivery time).
Maintaining your professional knowledge within your area of responsibility (and sharing it with colleagues/stakeholders) regarding:
• Market and product developments.
• Price indexations.
• Needs of stakeholders within the own organization.
• Guidelines and specifications regarding goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Procurement Management & Sourcing
Lead and participate in procurement processes: Manage RFI and RFQ processes from end to end and ensure their successful execution as well as implementation.
Cross-departmental alignment: Act as a procurement partner for other departments (Business Development, Solutions Design, Project Management, Legal, Finance/Cost Control, IT, Contract Management, and HR) to effectively translate business needs into procurement requirements.
Systems, Processes & Compliance
Data integrity and logging: Correctly and timely process, document, and record all procurement processes within the designated systems.
Compliance: Act strictly in accordance with internal compliance guidelines and procurement procedures of Samsung SDS.
Supplier & Order Management
Onboarding: Manage or facilitate the registration and correct onboarding of new suppliers in the systems.
Risk management: Where applicable, perform or initiate credit checks on suppliers in accordance with internal guidelines.
Operational follow-up: Where applicable, place purchase orders and monitor delivery times.
Escalation management: Intervene or escalate timely when necessary to safeguard the required quality and delivery timelines for the organization.
Knowledge Management & Market Research
Maintain and share expertise: Systematically keep professional knowledge up to date and proactively share this with relevant colleagues and stakeholders, specifically focusing on:
Market and product developments.
Price indexations.
Requirements of stakeholders within the own organization.
Guidelines and specifications regarding goods and services.
Gathering insights:
Conduct desk research
Requirements
Bachelor/Master's degree in Logistics/SCM
At least 5 years of experience on purchasing and/or implementation in logistics, architectural and facility environment. Preferably experience at a multicultural international.
SCM & Logistics knowledge, with a strong preference for Warehousing and Supply chain
Self-starting capabilities and strong stakeholder management skills
Proficient level of English (written and verbal)
Very good MS Office skills (mainly Excel and Power point)
Experience with ERP, e-procurements, procurement bidding systems
NEVI 1 and 2 is a pre
Wide logistics network
Ability to travel (less than 20%).
Extensive experience in Logistics / Supply Chain contract management and strong result driven mindset;
Strong communication, persuasion, negotiation and analytical skills;
Flexible problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality;
Logistics and facility background or similar
Concept mentality, knowledge of real estate acquisition, process engineering, QHSE, permits and technical environments, consumables;
Conceptual thinker with the perseverance to finish what you start;
Knows how to manage stakeholders;
Excellent planning and organizing skills.
