The Role: Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer
At Schneider Electric, quality is more than a function. It is a commitment to delivering reliable products and exceptional customer experiences. We are looking for an Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer to help strengthen manufacturing excellence by ensuring robust processes, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing product quality across our operations.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and contribute directly to operational performance within a world-class manufacturing environment.
What will you do?
Process Quality Management
- Monitor and improve manufacturing process performance to ensure consistent product quality.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control plans and process standards.
- Identify process deviations and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with quality requirements and operational procedures.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead investigations into manufacturing quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing defects, scrap, rework, and process variation.
- Drive a proactive quality mindset throughout the production organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Support new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing changes from a quality perspective.
- Participate in risk assessments to ensure process readiness and product reliability.
Audit & Compliance
- Perform process audits and quality assessments to verify compliance with internal and external standards.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions arising from audits and quality reviews.
- Support quality management system deployment and continuous compliance initiatives.
Digital & Operational Excellence
- Utilize data analytics and digital tools to monitor quality trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support digital transformation initiatives related to manufacturing quality.
- Contribute to Schneider Electric's operational excellence and smart manufacturing journey.
What qualifications will make you successful?
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality engineering, or related functions.
- Knowledge of quality systems, process controls, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in electronics, electrical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, or similar quality methodologies.
- Exposure to digital technologies, data analytics, Python, SQL, or AI applications is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
