Production Supervisor (Temporary - 1 Year Contract)

Location: Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico

What will you do?

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing operation in Tijuana. This position will lead production activities within our Subassemblies area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing of circuit breaker components while meeting quality, productivity, and customer requirements.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of production associates, driving operational excellence, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

This is a temporary position with an initial contract duration of one year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production personnel in the Subassemblies manufacturing area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage staffing, workforce allocation, attendance, and employee development activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Support problem-solving activities related to quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ensure standard work and manufacturing procedures are consistently followed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, high-performance work environment focused on employee engagement and accountability.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and implement action plans to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising manufacturing or production teams.
  • Experience leading large production groups in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and problem-solving tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate English proficiency preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in assembly or subassembly manufacturing operations.
  • Experience within electrical, electronics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of productivity, quality, safety, and labor management metrics.

Work Schedule

This position supports a compressed workweek manufacturing operation and may require flexibility to work day or night shifts based on business needs.
