Warehouse Engineering Intern

Schneider Electric is looking for a Warehouse Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team in Fairfield, Ohio for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a part-time, onsite opportunity, so the ideal candidate will be located in the general area. No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

 

This is a great opportunity for a Junior or Senior engineering or supply chain student interested in warehouse operations, material flow, and process improvement. You will work with Warehouse, Engineering, and Operations teams to support warehouse layout, SAP EWM, material movement, and line-transfer readiness.

What do you get to do in this position?

• Support warehouse layout and implementation, including rack layouts, PIT flow, and material handling.
• Help coordinate rack installation projects and determine what existing rack assets should be reused, transferred, or purchased.
• Support SAP EWM setup, including storage bins, material data, bin types, slotting, and replenishment levels.
• Maintain bin assignments, labeling, control cycles, and warehouse data.
• Support material moves, line-side supply, Kanban, and kitting processes.
• Help improve putaway, picking, and material flow strategies based on part characteristics and demand.
• Assist with root cause analysis and process improvements related to warehouse operations and material flow.
• Work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations teams on line-transfer readiness and continuous improvement projects.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• Junior or Senior preferred.
• Basic Excel skills — data entry, sorting, and basic formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large amounts of material and bin data.
• Ability to follow standardized processes and naming conventions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite and be on your feet for extended periods, including lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
• SAP/EWM or warehouse operations experience is preferred, but not required.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23 to $27.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
