Job Summary


As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers working on power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems for building and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to electrical design principles, technical software, industry standards, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery. Throughout the internship, you will contribute to active assignments while receiving guidance, feedback, and mentorship from experienced professionals.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and other project documentation.
  • Support the design and coordination of power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

  • How electrical engineering principles, design tools, codes, and technical standards are applied to real projects.
  • How engineering drawings, calculations, and project deliverables are developed and coordinated.
  • How multiple disciplines collaborate throughout the design and project delivery process.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Internship or co-op experience in electrical design.
  • Familiarity with electrical load calculation software.
  • Involvement in IEEE or related professional organizations.
