Job Summary:
The Structured Lending Analyst in Specialty Finance assists with the financial review and portfolio monitoring functions of the Specialty Finance departments, which include Asset Based Lending, Structured Finance, and G1.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists management with creating, generating and maintaining monthly reports needed to manage the portfolio and run the overall business.
  • Assist with new business underwriting, gathering information, performing data analysis, approval formation, and modification preparation.
  • Assists with portfolio monitoring and may participate in client discussions.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of borrower's performance based on the review and analysis of financial data and trends to proactively address any needs or issues the borrower may have, and communicates these issues to management.
  • Reviews and evaluates financial and collateral performance, including spreading and analyzing financial statements and budgets, reviewing collateral trends, and verifying borrower compliance with all financial covenants and required reporting.
  • Monitors compliance with legal aspects of a borrower's relationship with the Bank
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Firm authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience: Three years of commercial lending experience as an Team Member Commercial Banker or Commercial Banker or a similar job with an emphasis on commercial lending. Regular office environment;

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • May sit for long periods of time;
  • Talk and hear regularly;
  • Up to 10 pounds weight lifting/force exertion required;
  • Weight/force exertion required less than 25% of the time;
  • Travel required less than 10% of the time
