The ePlane Company is redefining urban air mobility with the e200X, India's first electric air ambulance and taxi. Engineered around a compact 8 by 10 meter footprint , it utilizes existing city helipads and rooftops instead of requiring entirely new infrastructure. As a deep-tech "Make in India" breakthrough, its core subsystems—including the propellers, airframe, landing gear, and battery packs are developed entirely indigenously.
Current Stage & Capital
Backed by $21 million in total funding, including a $14 million Series B , and 7 years of subscale validation, ePlane has transitioned from simulation to hardware. Full-scale assembly of the first prototype, PT-01, is complete, integrating all core subsystems into a single physical structure. PT-01 is entering ground testing at IIT Madras to validate structural loads , moving directly into flight testing and DGCA Type Certification. Notably, ePlane holds India's first Design Organisation Approval (DOA) for a private electric aircraft.
