SALARY RANGE: $22.00 - $28.00/ hour based on interview outcome and qualifications

Job Summary:
The Shop Technician plays a key role in supporting the maintenance, repair, and testing of water treatment equipment to ensure its safe and effective operation in the field. Working closely with the Regional Field Services Manager, and Regional Operations Manager, this role ensures that all equipment is maintained to a high standard and ready for deployment by Clear Water field staff, clients, and partners.
This position also collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Design, Fabrication, Control Systems, and Electrical—to ensure all components are built to specification, function as intended, and are installed safely and efficiently. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Shop Technician assists with the procurement, staging, and organization of equipment and materials to support streamlined treatment system builds.
A critical aspect of this role includes supporting administrative functions related to equipment and materials inventory. The Shop Technician will help track inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and assist in the coordination of reorders and restocking efforts to ensure operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
- QA/QC, checking, tagging, and verification of equipment readiness.
- System demobilization, disassemble, and inspection of incoming parts and equipment for serviceability and/or reuse.
- Pulling, preparing, and staging parts and equipment for system installations.
- Pickup and delivery of equipment, parts and chemistry.
- Equipment and inventory documentation and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience with the safe use and operation of a variety of hand and powered tools and equipment.
- Experience with safe maintenance practices in a shop environment.
- Experience loading/unloading and securing trucks/trailers safely.
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience in operations, and maintenance of 3 phase pumps both submersible and centrifugal.
- Experience operating a standard warehouse forklifts. Reach lift/offroad lift experience.
- Experience towing a trailer.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed primarily within Clear Water’s shop and field locations. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on site. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
