Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Co-op will support the Talent Acquisition team by coordinating recruitment activities and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for candidates and hiring teams. This role is ideal for a student interested in recruitment operations, scheduling, and process management, and offers hands-on exposure to how hiring is executed in a fast-paced tech environment through an 8-month co-op term.
This is an 8-month, fixed-term position based out of our Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver, following a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Coordinate and schedule interviews across multiple time zones, partnering with candidates, recruiters, and hiring teams to deliver a seamless interview experience
Manage candidate communications, including interview confirmations, updates, follow-ups, and other recruitment-related correspondence
Support the administration and maintenance of our applicant tracking system (Ashby), including creating roles, posting jobs, maintaining accurate candidate records, and supporting candidate dispositioning
Support end-to-end coordination of our co-op hiring programs, including job postings, candidate tracking, interview scheduling, hiring manager coordination, and campus recruitment activities
Track interview activity, follow up on outstanding feedback, and help keep recruitment processes moving efficiently
Support candidate sourcing and research for select roles using LinkedIn and other recruiting tools
Maintain TA documentation, templates, trackers, and internal resources to ensure information is accurate and up to date
Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, hackathons, campus events, and other talent programs
Identify opportunities to improve TA processes and workflows, bringing forward ideas to make the candidate and hiring manager experience more efficient
Experiment with and leverage AI tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive work, and support more efficient recruiting workflows
What You’ll Bring:
Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Strong interest in recruitment coordination and candidate experience
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
High level of discretion when handling confidential information
Curiosity and an interest in learning new technology, including recruiting platforms and AI tools
Nice to Have:
Previous co-op, internship, or part-time experience in recruitment or HR
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or scheduling tools
