V2X is hiring! We are looking for a Painter (1st shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Applies lacquer, rust-proofing agents, and other coatings to surfaces.
- Performs special finishing techniques such as marbling and graining.
- Prepares items for painting by tinting, toning, matching, blending, and mixing additives.
- Paints articles using brushes and other methods.
- Is required to use a spray gun.
- Transfers items to and from work area.
- Follows instructions provided through routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Pays close attention to detail to ensure precise coating application and avoid defects.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- May be designated according to the article painted.
