Job Description

Job purpose statement

  • Electromechanical maintenance activities on site.

  • Responsible for solving errors for minor and major system components.

Scope

  • Maintenance (electrical and mechanical) activities on site as scoped in the service contract.

  • Maintain and monitor performance of minor and major equipment of the baggage handling system.

Qualification and abilities

  • Middle level of vocational and/or technical education.

  • Electromechanical (EM) specialist.

  • Able to read and understand EM schematics and/or drawings.

  • Overall, 10 years of experience as electromechanical technician.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in s BHS electromechanical technician (preferred experience in similar working environment).

  • Preferred experience in (BHS) baggage handling system.

  • Ability to work under stressful situations and pressure.

  • Communicate, read, and write the English language (mid to high level).

  • Flexibility and capability to take-over or handover work to the next shift team.

  • Controlling baggage flows and correcting flow disturbances.

  • Quick and rapid response to reported errors or failures.

  • Electromechanical fault-finding capability and restoration.

  • Metrics and/or multi-meter signal measurement knowledge.

  • Knowledge on BHS controls equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical and other BHS equipment.

  • Solve errors on electrical and mechanical equipment of the automated baggage handling system (BHS).

  • Carry out electrical-mechanical corrective and preventive maintenance.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the preventive maintenance of the BHS is carried out properly and in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for solving any errors or faults in a proactive manner.

  • Execution of daily maintenance activities.

  • Daily inspections and faut findings.

  • Daily monitoring of equipment condition.

  • Identifying causes of, and rectifying, equipment failures.
