VTG is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure supporting high-volume data and alerting environments. This position will focus heavily on AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform, messaging technologies, networking, monitoring, and automation.
What will you do?
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure supporting high-volume applications and data workloads.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes environments utilizing AWS EKS.
- Design, configure, and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS services including EC2 and S3.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Design and support routing and DNS solutions for highly available distributed systems.
- Deploy, configure, and support messaging technologies including RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Support systems processing high-volume data streams and alerts.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities.
- Utilize Grafana and related observability tools to monitor system health and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, networking, and cloud-related issues.
- Apply DevOps methodologies to improve infrastructure automation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to streamline CI/CD and application deployment processes.
- Implement infrastructure automation and cloud security best practices.
- Support large-scale projects operating within complex, fast-paced environments.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS EKS and containerized application environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including EC2 and S3.
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and practices.
- Experience with routing and DNS.
- Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring/observability technologies.
- Experience implementing and maintaining logging and alerting solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems.
