Plant Supplier Quality Engineer

The Plant Supplier Quality (PSQ) team ensures that all incoming raw materials and components meet strict automotive quality standards. The team combines two key functions: Incoming Control, which detects and blocks defects on the shop floor, and Plant SQE, which focuses on root cause analysis and supplier improvement. Together, they protect the production line from defective parts and ensure continuous quality improvement. The team supports multiple production plants and business units globally, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

 

What you can look forward to as Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Establishing and maintaining incoming inspection processes in line with legal requirements and internal standards
• Defining and managing procedures for ensuring the quality of direct materials from suppliers
• Communicating with suppliers to ensure consistent material quality
• Creating and managing supplier claims, including tracking corrective actions
• Conducting supplier visits and audits to verify processes and product quality
• Collaborating with regional and global supplier development teams
• Performing quality checks and preparing PPAP approvals for direct materials used in production
• Supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for non-conformities
  
  

Your Profile as Supplier Quality Engineer:

• University degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
• Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or automotive industry is an advantage
• Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., PPAP, root cause analysis, audits)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international suppliers
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP or similar systems is a plus
• Fluent English
