Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program with a graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028. Applicants are required to submit a resume and a portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant technical and artistic skills.
Activision is looking for talented and innovative students to join our teams for summer 2027. All interns will receive a meaningful project and an unparalleled experience. We’ll provide the tools and resources you need to learn. The challenging and creative work you do throughout your internship will directly impact the team you are contributing to.
All internships will be conducted in-person. Hosting managers will determine when and how often interns work in the office. All interns will have the option to opt into relocation services (flights, trains, or car mileage reimbursement). Additionally, all interns will be provided with a living stipend to subsidize housing, utility, commuting, and miscellaneous costs.
Program Requirements
Currently enrolled in a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program and graduating May 2027 – June 2028
Available to participate in a 12-week internship starting in mid-May or mid-June
Currently residing in the US or open to relocating oneself to the US
Exhibits learning agility; has the ability to think differently, and/or grasp and apply new skills and concepts
Approaches problems in a clear, well-organized, and solutions-oriented manner
Works well with others and contributes to team tasks
Able to effectively communicate problems, solutions, needs, or priorities
Is engaged, seeks to learn, and is able to manage time effectively
A passion for significantly impacting game development

Internship Opportunities
Animation Intern:
As an Animation Intern at Infinity Ward, you'll be part of a tight-knit team that prides itself on crafting in-game and cinematic animations that are sophisticated and believable. You'll receive hands-on experience with animation tasks that contribute to furthering understanding of character and/or action and advance the emotional and gameplay goals of the project. You'll collaborate with designers, character artists and technical artists to help bring characters to life within the vision of our game’s design.
Requirements:
Skilled in a traditional 3D modeling package like Maya or 3DS Max.
Strong knowledge of traditional animation fundamentals and techniques, with a focus on human movement (timing, weight, balance).
Ability to create compelling animated performances with a strong focus on acting.
Strong understanding of in-engine game animation creation and implementation.
Enthusiasm for participating in the critique process and ability to execute on feedback.
Portfolio/reel samples that reflect an understanding of the visual style of Infinity Ward games.

Tech Animation Intern:
The Technical Animation team is responsible for developing and supporting asset deformations and control rig needs that power every animation team at Infinity Ward, including Narrative, Gameplay and Mocap. By building flexible, scalable solutions, we enable artists and animators to bring characters and weapons to life at the highest quality level. As a Tech Animation Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work with Infinity Ward's industry-leading rigging and animation pipeline, helping drive the creation of realistic character performances and believable deformations that define the player experience.
Requirements:
Skilled in industry standard 3D packages like Maya or 3DS Max.
Experience with Unity, Unreal, or other game engines.
Understanding of skin weighting, rigging, and dynamic deformation workflows for characters, weapons, vehicles, props, or creatures.
Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of 3D art production.
Robust problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
Enthusiasm for participating in the critique process and ability to execute on feedback.
Portfolio/reel samples that reflect an understanding of the visual style of Infinity Ward games.
