American Trim is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Material Handler to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations.
This position combines hands-on forklift and material-handling responsibilities with shipping, receiving and inventory control activities. You'll receive and unload incoming freight, prepare and load outgoing shipments, stage finished goods, complete shipping documentation and maintain accurate inventory records using QAD, scanners and other computer systems.
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable and comfortable balancing forklift operation with the accuracy and attention to detail required in a shipping and receiving environment.
Schedule & Pay
1st Shift: 5:55 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday
Overtime is required as needed. Scheduled hours may flex based on operational needs.
Base Pay: $19.30+ per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Material Handler is responsible for operating forklifts and physically moving materials into, out of and throughout the facility while supporting daily shipping and receiving activities.
This position processes incoming and outgoing shipments, loads and unloads freight, stages finished goods, prepares required shipping documentation and maintains accurate inventory records and locations using QAD, ERP systems and barcode scanners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment to move, stage, load and unload materials and finished goods.
Receive and unload incoming freight and distribute materials to the appropriate inventory, staging or production locations.
Stage finished goods and prepare outgoing shipments according to shipping schedules and customer requirements.
Load outgoing shipments and ensure inbound and outbound freight is processed accurately and timely.
Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation and records.
Record inventory movements and maintain accurate rack and inventory locations using QAD, ERP systems and barcode scanners.
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and perform required audits and cycle counts of finished goods.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies to Scheduling and/or Materials Management.
Move scrap and waste materials to designated holding areas and/or load materials for transport.
Communicate with appropriate customers, suppliers and internal team members regarding expedited shipments and other shipping needs.
Maintain required inventory, production, shipping and operational records.
Provide material-handling or production support in other areas of the facility as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse and work area.
Follow all established safety, quality and operational procedures.
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control or related manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to successfully complete American Trim's required forklift training and certification.
Experience using computerized inventory or ERP systems; QAD experience preferred.
Experience using barcode scanners and other inventory-tracking equipment.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction and percentages.
Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving and inventory documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
Ability to organize and prioritize work based on shipping and production requirements.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently at an appropriate pace while coordinating effectively with other departments.
Ability to follow established procedures, work instructions and safety requirements.

Bend, reach, stoop, turn, twist, push and pull while handling and moving materials.
Frequently handle lightweight materials and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a non-repetitive basis.
Maintain visual attention and spatial awareness while operating equipment around employees, machinery, racks and other equipment.
Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include noise and varying temperatures, including hot conditions during summer months.
Use computers, scanners and other equipment required to complete shipping, receiving and inventory transactions.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye, hearing, foot and other protective equipment as required.
Work overtime and adjusted hours as required by operational needs.
