Summary
Under the supervision of the Ibero Project RISE Youth Ambassador Supervisor(s), the Ibero Project RISE Youth Ambassadors (PRYA) play a vital role in providing youth voice, choice, and perspective to the youth empowerment initiative under Ibero American Action League’s Project RISE initiative. The vision of the Project RISE Youth Ambassadors is to carry out the Project RISE mission through youth engagement efforts that empower the community, promote social-emotional learning, and cultivate dynamic Community Engagement.

Reports to the Project RISE Empowerment coordinator.
Engage youth who live and/or learn in communities heavily impacted by gun violence, or have been impacted by gun violence, in pro-social programming, positive youth development, intergenerational mentoring, and restorative response efforts.
Provide access to information regarding positive, social events and activities, in the Greater Rochester Area and beyond
Support the Ibero PRYA Supervisor(s) in developing and implementing programming centered around pro-social programming, positive youth development, intergenerational mentoring, and restorative response efforts that amplifies protective factors and/or reduce risk factors of being impacted or involved in gun violence
Support existing efforts involving youth with the aim to amplify protective factors and/or reduce risk factors of being impacted or involved in gun violence.
Support connecting youth and families to caring community members for the purposes of creating and maintaining healthy and rewarding relationships intergenerationally within the community
Train in restorative practices and provide restorative services to community, collaborating with existing restorative teams within Ibero when appropriate.
Some evenings and weekends are required
Any other duties assigned deemed pertinent by Ibero-American Action League's President & CEO or designee.
