The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients and implements goal-directed treatment plans to maximize outcomes in an orthopaedic setting. They also coordinate care with medical providers and provide education to patients and families to ensure safe discharge.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited ACOTE program and possess a Maryland license or eligibility. A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential is preferred, and those without it must be actively pursuing the specialization.

The Occupational Therapist will be expected to work closely with our Orthopaedic surgeons and non-operative providers in organizing their client schedules with successful outcomes and patient satisfaction; and other duties as assigned.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
