About the Role
Canon U.S.A. Inc., headquartered in Melville, NY seeks a Product Strategy Specialist (Specialist, Product Strategy). The Product Strategy Specialist will manage Canon’s color imagePRESS portfolio, serving as a key product champion and strategic marketing partner to support sales and distribution channels in achieving revenue, positioning, and market share objectives. Working with general direction from management, this role is responsible for translating product strategy into effective initiatives, compelling product stories, and actionable sales tools that differentiate Canon’s solutions in a competitive marketplace. The Specialist will play a central role in bringing products to market and sustaining their momentum throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities will include developing product positioning and messaging, creating sales and marketing collateral, coordinating product launches, supporting sales enablement, and identifying opportunities to strengthen portfolio performance. The role will require an understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, market trends, and the commercial print landscape, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear, differentiated customer benefits. As a creative, resourceful self-starter, the Specialist will collaborate closely with Management, Sales, Channel Marketing, Communications, Training, and other cross-functional teams, as well as external agency and creative partners. The role will help ensure consistent product messaging across customer touchpoints and equip sales teams and distribution partners with the knowledge, content, and tools needed to effectively position as imagePRESS as the long term industry leader. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Your Impact
- Product Lifecycle & Strategy Execution: Help execute end-to-end product strategy plans for the color imagePRESS line throughout its lifecycle Collaboratively monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and help refine roadmap strategies based on "voice of the customer" feedback - Partner Product Management: As assigned, oversee additional product strategy, positioning, and lifecycle initiatives for key external partner products - Creative Marketing & Asset Creation: Creatively develop and deploy high-impact sales tools, launch kits, product bulletins, and marketing collateral that showcase the performance and benefits of the color imagePRESS portfolio - Sales Enablement & Support: Serve as a dependable point of contact for sales channels by providing clear product information, preparing presentation decks, and responding to marketing inquiries - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively liaise with internal marketing teams, sales training, and external vendor/agency partners to ensure seamless campaign execution and messaging consistency - Product Training & Demonstrations: Support the development of comprehensive product training materials and assist with live product demonstrations at trade shows and industry events
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience - 2 to 5 years of experience in product marketing, brand execution, or solution management - Strong technical comprehension or aptitude with an eagerness to learn professional digital press technology (production print experience preferred but not strictly required) - Proactive, self-starter mentality with demonstrated ability to manage projects independently - Creative mindset with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - High level of dependability, organizational skills, and attention to detail when delivering on key milestones - Tech-savvy with strong presentation building skills - Will require travel for industry events and/or sales support We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $66,300 - $81,550 annually.
