Job Title: Principal Research Scientist Location: Dayton, Ohio
Who You Are:
You are the person people call when “close enough” is not scientifically good enough. You look at a crew station, protective system, dataset, digital manikin, or accommodation model and immediately start asking harder questions.
Is the population representative? Is the methodology valid? Does the model actually reflect human variation? Are the assumptions defensible? Can this conclusion withstand an independent technical review?
You are interested in science that gets used. Your work may influence design, body-size requirements, protective equipment, acquisition decisions, and who can safely operate a weapon system.
You are comfortable challenging assumptions, developing new methods, validating established methodologies, and explaining complex anthropometric and statistical concepts to engineers, program managers, acquisition professionals, and senior leaders.
