For this High School English Teacher position, you’ll be working for our high school in north Philadelphia called TECH Freire Charter School (9th-12th Grade): Freire Schools’ established rigorous college-prep high school program is infused with technology and entrepreneurship education to unlock creativity and potential in our students. We have a culture that demands excellence from our students while providing them the supports they need to achieve at high levels and prepare for college. TECH Freire’s Class of 2025 included 88 graduates, with 89% accepted to four-year colleges and universities. As a member of Freire’s instructional team, you will implement high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum to drive rigorous instruction, critical thinking, and high achievement in your classroom, while remaining open to feedback and instructional coaching.

Salaries for certified teachers entering their first year start at $60,000, with an overall salary range of $50,000–$85,000 based on experience and qualifications. Freire Schools offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution for Pennsylvania employees, and a strong commitment to developing all staff as professionals while working with exceptional students in Philadelphia.
