The pharmacy technician will receive, verify, and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system while managing refill requests and prior authorizations. They will also serve as a liaison with healthcare centers and maintain accurate patient medication profiles.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess a current Certified Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Georgia. At least 3 years of pharmacy experience and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred.

Job Position:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, receives, verifies, and enters prescription orders into the pharmacy computer application; processes refill requests; answers telephone and serves as liaison with customer healthcare centers. Assists with processing of prior authorizations and third party payor medication rejections.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or GED
• Must be a current Certified Pharmacy Technician – State of Georgia
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification - preferred.
• 3 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Should be familiar with medical terminology
• Excellent communication skills
