The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for greeting patients, explaining the specimen collection process, and performing various clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and ECG tracings. They must also maintain accurate patient records, prepare specimens for transport, and ensure high standards of customer service and privacy.
Candidates must have completed a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or possess equivalent experience in a healthcare setting with phlebotomy training. Proficiency in data entry and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

As a Laboratory Assistant you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. This is an important role in patient care and our business and will let you see the difference that you make in patients’ lives.
